Run Against Hunger

Run Against Hunger for charity

Our Run Against Hunger series is a ready-to-use fun and engaging activity that any school can get involved in. Learn more about hunger and nutrition from our expert speakers, encourage students to run and get fit all while raising money to help end child hunger.

How the Run Against Hunger works for you

Register now and we will send you a comprehensive schools fundraising pack and work with you to book a date to come to your school and deliver tailored lessons presenting the issue of child hunger and the importance of good nutrition. This will include a video highlighting our work and telling the story ofthe children we support in a specific country such as Madagascar.

At the end of the lesson all children will receive sponsorship forms and wristbands and are asked to find sponsors from friends and family members who sponsor them for each lap of the run they complete. We will also provide the organiser within the school with a co-ordinator guide so that you know exactly how to implement this project.

Using this guide, you will then arrange a date for the run to take place within your school (we find May or June work best) and advertise the run with posters we supply. On the day of the day, students will run as many laps of the run course as possible in the allocated time and then collect in their sponsorship money.

In 2014 over 4,000 children took part in our Run Against Hunger and raised over £65,000 towards our life-saving work in over 45 countries around the world.

What do our supporters say?

“The CFBL 6eme and 5eme students embraced their Action Against Hunger fun run with enthusiasm and determination and had a great day with the sun shining and an excellent performance from all involved as well as support from parents and friends too. Thanks to the generosity of all the sponsors they managed to raise over £5,000 for the charity which is very exciting!”
